IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) Engineer

Location: Various

Ideal Candidate

  • Contracting background
  • Minimum 3 years of experience implementing IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG)
  • Ability to architect (SFG) solutions customized to specific business needs
  • Solid understanding of Consumers and Producer relationships in SFG
  • Creation of SFG Partners utilizing multiple protocols (e.g. FTP,SFTP,AS2)
  • Knowledge of Channels, Templates (Static/Dynamic), and Creating Routes
  • Understanding of PGP and how its implemented with SFG
  • Experience using Regular Expressions in SFG Templates
  • Understanding of SFG_myFileGateway and where it’s used
  • Ability to trouble-shoot and resolve issues with failed routes
  • Understanding of SI workflows related to SFG
  • Multiple OS experience (e.g. Windows, Linux, etc)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel.  We try to push for remote time on every project but be prepared to travel.

Nice To Have

  • Experience with and understanding tuning of SFG environment
  • Installation of SFG
  • Good understanding of BPML and ability to troubleshoot failed SFG workflows
  • Knowledge of Custom Protocols and how to set up in SFG
  • Understanding of SSH Known Host Keys and how to obtain from partners.
  • Property Files and their use in SI and SFG
