B2B Marketing Content Specialist

As our B2B Marketing Content Specialist, you will be responsible for creating compelling and informational content in a variety of formats, including messaging for our website, blog, white papers, ebooks, landing pages, presentations, sales and marketing materials, email campaigns, advertising copy, and thought leadership pieces. 

You will play a key role in strengthening position as a thought leader in our industry, driving growth by expanding lead generation and nurturing programs, and elevating our brand by delivering our messaging, services and product messaging in a highly compelling and engaging manner.

Responsibilities

  • Developing messaging that differentiates our company, solutions and services in the markets we serve, and translating that into a wide range of marketing materials
  • Brainstorming lead generation content ideas and aligning them to various stages of the buyer’s journey
  • Conceptualizing and creating a wide variety of content, including the research, writing and editing of blog posts, webinars, white papers, case studies, and presentations
  • Assist in the production of a variety of modern content formats, including infographics, videos, slideshares, digital advertising, online demos, and more
  • Creating content and communications targeted at our current customers
  • Developing effective and compelling email and landing page copy, and performing A/B testing within our marketing automation system to optimize results
  • Creating lead nurturing emails and content to build and strengthen relationships
  • Assisting in the development of buyer personas to assist team members across the organization n effectively communicating our solutions and value proposition
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts from various parts of our organization to acquire information that can be used to create the marketing collateral and thought leadership pieces
  • Working with our sales teams, consultants and customers to develop compelling case studies
  • Research and report on relevant industry trends and best practices
  • Developing copy for a variety of promotional touchpoints (email, Twitter, LinkedIn, search engines, press releases, etc.), maximizing reach and exposure for the content we develop
  • Empower the sales team with messaging and materials (email, collateral, proposals, and presentations) materials
  • Improve results by regularly evaluating reports to determine effectiveness of messaging and materials, and make appropriate adjustments
  • Working within our marketing automation and website content management system to create and/or update content
  • Staying up-to-date with content marketing trends, SEO and social media best practices

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of combined experience in B2B marketing writing – preferably around technology solutions for mid sized to large enterprises
  • Exceptional communication skills with a clear and compelling writing style
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with other team members to produce the most effective and compelling content
  • An understanding of inbound and social media marketing best practices
  • A deep understanding of SEO techniques
  • Ability to work independently
  • A high degree of accuracy and efficiency for writing, revising, editing, and proofreading copy
  • Stay current with industry best practices and implement strategies to increase reach
  • Meeting deadlines and ensuring quick turnarounds in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to independently manage multiple projects and complete projects within budget and on time
  • Proven ability to take complex concepts and ideas and create clear, concise, audience-appropriate communications
  • Proven ability to generate creative ideas that align with brand strategies, harnessing the power of storytelling
  • An organized and accountable self-starter and motivator
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and energetic with power of maintaining a sense of humor while under pressure
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English
